I want to sincerely thank Senator Russ Olson, R-Lake County for his efforts on behalf of our family during the current legislative session.
A change in state law a year ago negatively impacted many people across the state. We contacted Sen. Olson, explaining to him the
situation. He not only looked into the matter, he introduced legislation to correct the situation. Getting 105 people to agree on anything is pretty difficult, especially in these times of unbending
political positions.
Sen. Olson not only got both the Senate and House committees to unanimously agree to a change in state law, but when introduced in both houses of the state legislature it was passed without a single dissenting vote.
I know it took considerable time and effort for him to accomplish this task. I am very appreciative of his effort and ultimate success.
